Soggy Bottom Cattle Co. was established in 2022. We are a farm to table direct to consumer beef producer. We pre book our beef with our clients to get a head count. We then broker our steers from local producers and only buy farm to farm. We avoid sale rings and stockyards. We believe this process keeps a healthier herd. Our pastures are chemical free, our cattle are steroid free, hormone free, antibiotic free and stress free. We run open range up to the final 60 days. That final 60 days we reduce paddock size to limit calorie loss. Our beef can be bought in half or whole. Our brand is a squiggly line representing our creek over two butt cheeks. We are the only place in the world where you can “Buy your beef between the Creek and the Cheeks”.

The night before we made an offer on the place we walked the fences to access their condition. We found ourselves at the creek so we accessed the water gap and made our way across. As I crossed first, I heard a sound behind me. I turned around to find my wife had fallen in her attempt to cross. I helped her up and noticed she had left a cheeky imprint in the mud. After a good laugh I told her if we ended up with the place…… we would call it Soggy Bottom Cattle Co. I had the brand scribbled out on a napkin the next day. I figure I’m the first man in history to burn a set of butt cheeks on to a bovine.
